When a client books a documentary wedding photographer for their wedding,
it’s for a number of reasons, but mainly it’s to tell the story of their day in an unobtrusive manner.
Telling that story usually begins with the preparation of the bride and her bridesmaids.
Some brides like to begin the photography very early, capturing as much of the day as possible.
Dan likes to photograph from about an hour before the bride gets into her dress, giving his enough time to document some of the preparations with the hairdresser and makeup artist.
It’s an important part of the day, and usually forms the basis of the first couple of pages in a finished photo-book.
